What Is Chocolate Explorers Camp?
Chocolate Explorers Camp is a hands-on, week-long experience where kids dive into the delicious world of chocolate — from cacao trees growing around the world to beautiful chocolate creations made by their own hands.
Campers will learn where chocolate comes from, how it grows, how it’s harvested, and how it’s transformed into chocolate we love today. Along the way, they’ll create edible art, explore design, and build confidence as young makers.
The week ends with a Chocolate Showcase, where campers proudly present their creations to family and friends.

Families are invited to join us on the final day for a special Chocolate Showcase Celebration, where campers share their chocolate creations and explain what they’ve learned throughout the week.

*We will be tasting chocolates but snacks are not provided. Families are asked to send their campers with three healthy snacks, lunch, and a water bottle each day.
*The Gibson House is on a lovely property so we will balance the day’s energy with many outdoor breaks to play games and explore. Please dress campers in layers and according to the weather.
*Chocolate is sweeter when we work together! Campers should be comfortable following directions and collaborating positively with fellow campers.
Who’s in charge? The Chocolate Explorers Camp is being taught by educator and father of 4, Scott Dardenelle. Scott isn’t just passionate about chocolate—he knows how to teach and share that passion with kids in a hands-on, engaging way, rooted in his educational background and real-world chocolate experience.
