The Chocolate Bar Davis was born from a love of craft, curiosity, and connection. After stepping away from his teaching career to become a full-time parent, Scott Dardenelle rediscovered his childhood passion for chocolate making—this time sharing it with his kids. What began as a family tradition quickly grew into a pursuit of excellence, with Scott founding Epic Chocolates in 2015 and later honing his artistry under the guidance of renowned chocolatier Chef Louis Amado in 2023.

Driven by a lifelong love of learning, Scott approaches chocolate making as both an art and a craft—continually exploring new techniques, flavors, and inspirations to create memorable experiences through every confection. In 2025, he brought that vision to life with The Chocolate Bar Davis: a chocolate company dedicated to creating exquisite, handcrafted chocolates that spark joy and bring people together.

At the heart of The Chocolate Bar is a simple belief—that chocolate has the power to create connection, celebration, and happiness. Whether through beautifully crafted bonbons, seasonal creations, or conversations shared over a sweet treat, Scott’s passion is sharing moments of joy with the Davis community and beyond.
